Abstract: ATCOPIA67_I is an internal region of the ATCOPIA67 Copia-like endogenous retrovirus flanked by the 5% divergent ATCOPIA67LTR long terminal repeats, and by a 5-bp target-site duplication. ATCOPIA67_I encodes well preserved remnants of the ATCOPIA67p Copia-like polyprotein.
