Abstract:
TAG is a subfamily of HAT-like DNA transposons. TAG3N1 is 80% identical to the TAG1 autonomous transposon. There are ~10 copies of TAG3N1 present in the genome, they are ~97% identical to the consensus sequence. TAG3N1 has imperfect 22-bp TIRs (4 mismatches) and is flanked by 8-bp target-site duplications.
