Abstract: TC2_FR1 to 6 are Tc2-like DNA transposons grouping with the Kanga1 and 2 elements that were active in Mesozoic mammals. On average, copies are 3.5% diverged from the consensus. There are at least 82 mutagenic CpGs (4.9% of the dimers), so that the family is actually very young.
