Abstract:
HATN14_DR is a family of nonautonomous DNA transposons that belongs to the hAT superfamily [2]. Several thousand copies of HATN14_DR are expected to populate the zebrafish genome. The element was active long time ago, its copies are ~15% divergent from the consensus sequence. This element is characterized by 8-bp target site duplications and 39-bp terminal inverted repeats. [3]: Reclassified, according to the terminal similarity with Merlin-1_DR and Merlin-N1_EL.
