HARBINGER3N_DR, a nonautonomous Harbinger-like DNA transposon from zebrafish.

Abstract:
HARBINGER3N_DR is a nonautonomous Harbinger-like DNA transposon, a deletion derivate of HARBINGER3_DR. The consensus sequence was built based on 100 copies that are ~98% identical to each other. This transposon is characterized by the CWG target site duplications and 12-bp terminal inverted repeats. Protein machinery encoded by HARBINGER3_DR was involved in transpositions of HARBINGER3N_DR nonautonomous elements. The genome harbors ~1000 copies of HARBINGER3N_DR that are ~96% identical to the consensus.
