Title:
Helitron-1_AN, autonomous family of Helitrons in the Aspergillus nidulans genome.
Journal:
Repbase Reports 3(11), 190-190 (2003)
Abstract:
Autonomous Helitron rolling-circle DNA transposon. Helitrons in the A. nidulans genome do not contain a 3' palindromic element present in Helitrons from other eukaryotes. The genome harbors several nonautonomous copies (97% identity). inserted in the TA target site, no duplications. The 1439-aa Rep/Helicase Helitron-1_AN is encoded by a single ORF (pos. 987-5306).
