Abstract: HAT4N_CI is a family of nonautonomous elements related to the hAT superfamily. There are several hundred HAT4N_CI elements in the C. intestinalis genome, they are 95% identical to the consensus. This element is a internal deletion derivate of the HAT4_CI autonomous transposon. HAT4N_CI has 21-bp terminal inverted repeats.
