Abstract: There are ~100 P-N1_CI elements in the C. intestinalis genome, they are 97% identical to the consensus, and are characterized by 8-bp target site duplications. P-N1_CI is flanked by 30-bp terminal inverted repeats, and it has subterminal inverted repeats (pos. 88-106 and 978-996). Putative classification - P superfamily of DNA transposons.
