Title:
EnSpmN1_DR, a nonautonomous En/Spm DNA transposon from zebrafish.

Abstract:
EnSpmN1_DR copies are ~1% divergent from the consensus sequence. This element is characterized by 10-bp terminal inverted repeats and 2-bp targets site duplications. This nonautonomous family belongs to the En/Spm superfamily. This classification was made based on detection of En/Spm-like transposases in the zebrafish genome that are internal portions of sequences similar to EnSpmN1_DR (see EnSpm1_DR). RnSpmN1_DR is a composite DNA transposon, it carries copies of the DNA-8-2_DR and TDR15 DNA transposons (pos. 1850-2625 and 5233-5747, respectively).
