Title:
ERVN1_DR, a miniature nonautonomous endogenous retrovirus.
Journal:
Repbase Reports 4(12), 311-311 (2004)
Abstract:
ERVN1-I_DR is an internal portion of the ERVN1_DR miniature nonautonomous endogenous retrovirus. Long terminal repeat of ERVN1_DR is deposited in Repbase as ERVN1-LTR_DR. Some copies of ERVN1_DR are flanked by identical LTRs. Average identity of ERVN1-I_DR copies to their consensus sequence is above 96%. The internal contains PBS complementary to the Phe-tRNA. ERVN1_DR is characterized by 5-bp target site duplications. Since there are no autonomous LTR retrotransposons similar to ERVN1_DR, its exact classification is not possible.
