Journal:
Repbase Reports 4(2), 35-35 (2004)
Abstract:
Gypsy-1_CR can be still active retroelement. It is flanked by identical LTRs. The internal portion encodes the 778-aa Gypsy-1_CR1p (pos. 37-2370) and 1331-aa Gypsy-1_CR2p (pos. 2664-6656) proteins. Gypsy-1_CR1p includes the gag-like domain. Gypsy-1_CR2p is composed of the protease, reverse transcriptase, endonuclease, and chromo domains.
