Abstract:
Novosib-N1a is a subfamily of Novosib-N1 nonautonomous transposons. The Novosib-N1a and Novosib-N1 consensus sequences are 76% identical. Novosib-N1a elements are flanked by 8-bp target site duplications and contain 17-bp terminal inverted repeats. This subfamily is composed of ~20 copies ~97% identical to their consensus sequence.
