Title:
Mariner-N1_SP, a family of nonautonomous transposons in the sea urchin genome.
Journal:
Repbase Reports 4(9), 242-242 (2004)
Abstract:
The genome harbors about 1000 copies of Mariner-N1_SP that are ~90% identical to the consensus sequence. Putative classification: Mariner/Tc1 superfamily (27-bp terminal inverted repeats, 2-bp target site duplications). Additionally to its normal node of transposition, a copy of Mariner-N1_SP (pos. 86-522) was recruited by hAT-N1_SP transposon (~100 copies).
