Title:
Tc1-N1_SP, a family of nonautonomous DNA transposons in the sea urchin genome.
Journal:
Repbase Reports 4(9), 244-244 (2004)
Abstract:
Tc1-N1_SP is a family of nonautonomous Mariner/Tc1 transposons. These elements are flanked by the TA target site duplications and are characterized by 95-bp terminal inverted repeats. Tc1-N1_SP elements are ~90% identical to the consensus sequence. The sea urchin genome harbors over 1000 of Tc1-N1_SP elements.
