Title:
hAT-N1_SP, a family of nonautonomous DNA transposon in the sea urchin genome.

Abstract:
The genome harbors several hundred copies of hAT-N1_SP-like elements. They are characterized by 8-bp target site duplications and 10-bp terminal inverted repeats. The hAT-N1_SP and hAT-1_SP elements share common 100-bp and 70-bp 5' and 3' termini. Most likely, transpositions of hAT-N1_SP elements were catalyzed by the hAT-1_SP encoded transposase. An internal portion of hAT-N1_SP (pos. 105-525) was contributed by insertion of a Mariner_N1_SP element.
