Abstract:
CR1-10_SP is a non-LTR retrotransposon that belongs to the CR1 clade. Copies of CR1-10_SP are ~3% divergent form the consensus sequence. The consensus sequence is incomplete due to 5' truncations of CR1-10_SP elements upon their retrotranspositions. CR1-10_SP encodes a 879-aa protein (pos. 1-2637) composed of the endonuclease and reverse transcriptase domains. The 3' terminus of CR1-10_SP is composed of the (TCAAA) microsatellite.
