Title:
REP-1_SP, a family of interspersed repeats in the sea urchin genome.
Journal:
Repbase Reports 5(4), 93-93 (2005)
Abstract:
The genome contains >3000 copies of REP-1_SP. The average divergence from the consensus sequences is 85%. Copies of REP-1_SP are usually truncated at their 5' end. REP-1_SP contains a tandem duplication of a 74-bp unit (pos. 200-273 and 274-349). This unit is also present in P-N1_SP. Classification of REP-1_SP is not clear.
