Title:
piggyBac-N5_SP, a family of nonautonomous DNA transposons in the sea urchin genome.
Journal:
Repbase Reports 5(6), 157-157 (2005)
Abstract:
The genome harbors several thousand copies of piggyBac-N5_SP elements that are >90% identical to the consensus sequence and characterized by imperfect 22-bp terminal inverted repeats (3 mismatches) and the TTAA target site duplications. The genome harbors >15,000 copies of piggyBac-N5_SP-like elements, which constitute ~1% of the genome.
