Title:
SINE2-7_SP, a family of SINE2 retrotransposons in the sea urchin genome.
Journal:
Repbase Reports 5(7), 191-191 (2005)
Abstract:
The genome harbors ~1000 copies of SINE2-7_SP elements that are ~95% identical to the SINE2-7_SP consensus sequence. The tRNA-like pol III 70-bp 5' terminus of SINE2-7_SP is only ~70% identical to these in SINE2-2_SP, SINE2-3_SP, and SINE2-4_SP. A copy of SINE2-7_SP (74% identity) has been multiplied in the genome as an internal portion of Tc1-N2_SP.
