Abstract:
This is an internal portion of the Gypsy-3_AF LTR retrotransposon. Two proviral copies are 94% identical to each other. All 374 mismatches are transitions. Therefore, most of the mutations was induced by RIP. Its PBS (pos. 2-13) is complementary to Gypsy-3-LTR_AF (pos. 207-218 (self-primed reverse transcription).
