Abstract:
This is a DNA transposon from the Mariner superfamily (Pogo clade). It is characterized by the TA TSDs and 23-bp TIRs. The genome harbors ~20 copies. The 518-aa Mariner-7_AFp transposase (pos. 181-1734) is 35% identical to the S. pombe ARS binding protein 1 (GenBank NP_596460).
