Abstract:
This is a consensus sequence of a DNA-8-1_CR family of nonautonomous P DNA transposons. DNA-8-1_CR elements are less than 2% divergent from their consensus sequence and they are characterized by 146-bp terminal inverted repeats and 8-bp target site duplications (NNNNNNNC target sites). DNA-8-1_CR is a deletion derivative of the P-1_CR transposon.
