Title:
hAT-9_XT, a family of autonomous hAT DNA transposons from frog.
Journal:
Repbase Reports 6(8), 420-420 (2006)
Abstract:
hAT-9_XT elements form an autonomous family of hAT DNA transposons characterized by 8-bp TSDs and 16-bp TIRs (1 mismatch). The genome harbors >10 copies of hAT-9_XT (~95% identical to the consensus). The consensus sequence encodes a 1073-aa hAT-9_XTp protein composed of the BED zinc-finger and transposase (related to the BED4 protein conserved in vertebrates).
