Abstract: The DNA transposon has intact domain for a transposase like protein resembling the hAT type transposase as well as has hAT dimerization domain. It has 22 bp TIR, a characteristic feature of TAG1 family of hAT transposons. The element exists in Medicago genome in few copies.
