Abstract: It is a family of non-autonomous hAT DNA transposons that belong to the hAT6 group, characterized by 6-bp target site duplications. hAT6-N2_NV contains 13-bp imperfect TIRs (1 mismatch) and shares common termini with the autonomous hAT6-2_NV. The hAT6-N2_NV family is relatively ancient: genomic elements are ~10% divergent from the consensus sequence (11% with CpG included).
