Abstract: Harbinger-1N2_NV is a consensus sequence of a family of non-autonomous Harbinger transposons derived from the autonomous Harbinger-1_NV; they were active in the Nematostella vectensis genome in a last few million years. The Harbinger-1N2_NV transposon is characterized by 45-bp imperfect terminal inverted repeats and 3-bp target site duplications.
