Abstract:
Kolobok-N11_NV is a consensus sequence of a family of non-autonomous Kolobok transposons. The Kolobok-N11_NV transposon is characterized by 18-bp TIRs (3 mismatches) and TTAA target site duplications. This family is composed of several hundred elements: while the youngest elements are less than 5% divergent from the consensus sequence, the oldest elements are ~20% divergent from the consensus.
