Abstract:
Kolobok-N13_NV is a consensus sequence of a family of non-autonomous Kolobok transposons. The Kolobok-N13_NV transposon is characterized by 25-bp TIRs (1 mismatch) and TTAA target site duplications. This family is composed of several hundred elements that have been transposable for a very long time: the youngest and oldest elements are ~9% and 20% divergent from the consensus sequence.
