Abstract:
This is a family of autonomous Helitrons. The Helitron-1_NV encodes two proteins: a RepHel protein fused with the OTU cysteine protease (N-terminal portion) and AP endonuclease (C-terminal portion) and a RPA70-like ssDNA-binding protein. RPA70-like proteins are also encoded by Helitrons in zebrafish.
