Title:
DNA-4-2_NV - a family of non-autonomous DNA transposons from the starlet sea anemone genome.
Journal:
Repbase Reports 8(4), 401-401 (2008)
Abstract:
DNA-4-2_NV elements are flanked by 4-bp targets site duplications. Termini of DNA-4-2_NV differs from elements that belong to the Chapaev, Kolobok and piggyBac superfamilies, which are also flanked by 4-bp TSDs. It is likely that DNA-4-2_NV belongs to a novel superfamily of DNA transposons, which also includes DNA-4-3_NV. In addition to 4-bp TSDs, these transposons are characterized by the 5'-GGC and GCC-3' termini.
