Abstract: piggyBac-11_SM is a relatively old family of piggyBac transposons, characterized by 14-bp TIRs (1 mismatch) and TTAA target-site duplications. The consensus sequence was reconstructed based on multiple alignment of 15 copies, which are ~94% identical to the consensus sequence.
