Abstract:
EnSpm-5_DR is a young family of autonomous En/Spm DNA transposons. The consensus sequence was derived based on multiple alignment of several copies of EnSpm-5_DR that are less then 2% divergent from each other. EnSpm-5_DR transposons are characterized by 2-bp target-site duplications and imperfect 12-bp terminal inverted repeats (1 mismatch). See also commentary on EnSpm-2_DR. This sequence was derived from sequence data generated by the Danio rerio Sequencing Group at the Sanger Institute.
