Abstract:
Gypsy_DG is a Gypsy-like family in Drosophila grimshawi, with a copy number of 6 elements. The consensus sequence is 3090bp in length, and contains a single open reading frame encoding a gag-pol polyprotein between positions 1082 and 2743. Maximum identity between flanking LTRs is 98.4%, suggesting recent activity.
