Title:
SINE elements from hyrax.

Abstract:
>96% identical to consensus. They may still be actively retroposed (some copies are 100% identical to consensus). There is a limited sequence homology between PSINE1 and 5' ends of AFRO_LA and RTE1_LA suggesting that PSINE1 are RTE-dependent SINEs. They are present in a large copy number in the hyrax genome (>600,000). This sequence was derived from sequence data generated by Genome Sequencing Center at Baylor College of Medicine: hyrax.
