Abstract:
Sagan is a new group of DNA transposons belonging to the Mariner/Tc1/IS630 superfamily. But there is an insertion between D and E in the encoded DDE-transposase. The conserved DDE residues are D461, D510, and E690. 26-bp TIRs. The exon-intron structure is predicted with Softberry FGENESH.
