Title: Helitrons from Drosophila elegans. |

Abstract: ~98% identical to consensus. It shows similarity to Helitron-2N1_DVir in sequence and terminal structure (It is inserted between TTT and TTT and ended with TTATA...CTTG). It is a basic non-autonomous Helitron family and it has many derivatives with duplications of internal sequences. One major derivative family has a duplication of the sequence 1-328 of Helitron-N1_DEl, and another family has a duplication of the sequence 335-482. This consensus sequence was derived from the data released in Genbank by the Baylor College of Medicine Human Genome Sequencing Center, prior to publication.
