Abstract:
~95% identical to consensus. It does not have LTRs but is certainly similar to Gypsy elements. It is often tandemly arranged. Thus it may be a satellite family derived from Gypsy LTR retrotransposons. This consensus sequence was derived from the data released in Genbank by the Baylor College of Medicine Human Genome Sequencing Center, prior to publication.
