Title:
Kolobok transposons from the KolobokE clade.
Journal:
Repbase Reports 14(7), 1924-1924 (2014)
Abstract:
The KolobokE clade of Kolobok transposons is composed of diverse families identified in insects (beetle, mosquito, pea aphid, ants, bees) and molluscs (owl limpet). The clade is supported by the TPase phylogeny. Usually, KolobokE TPase is fused with the ~300-aa alkaline exonuclease (lambda-like). The same nuclease is encoded also by the ISL2EU DNA transposons.
