Abstract:
This is a young family of autonomous Harbinger transposons. The consensus sequence was derived from multiple alignment of a few copies of Harbinger-4_TV (they are ~99% identical to the consensus) . This transposon contains 156-bp TIRs and is accompanied the TwA 3-bp target site duplications. Harbinger-4_TV transposase forms a distinctive group, together with tranposases encoded by Harbinger-3_TV, Harbinger-1_PI, Harbinger-2_PI and Harbinger-3_PI.
