Abstract:
Analyzed genome of Ilex paraguariensis: GCA_963454935.2. Consensus of 184 seqs (all with tail); mean 85.6% identity to consensus. The 5S derived region of this SINE is 100% identical to the consensus 5S rRNA gene of the species. TSDs measured in 20 sequences range 7-19 nt in length (mean 14 nt) and are 70% AT-rich. Additional features: 5S rRNA gene related region (1-120); A box (50-61); Intermediate Element (IE) (70-71); C box (80-89); RNA binding domains (10-21; 70-76; 99-108); Non-transcribed spacer transcription termination site (TTS) related region (121-123); poly A tail (124-138). This sequence constitutes the first report of a SINE3 at Viridiplantae.
